Cambria is a financial advice practice based in Bedford, UK founded by Chartered advisers Jeremy Walker and Alex Newton.
Having operated out of offices in a rural location in Bedfordshire, Cambria moved to a more central location in Bedford at which point they contacted Announce PR with a view to developing a local PR and marketing strategy to generate new business in Bedford and the surrounding area.
The Brief:
Announce was briefed to launch Cambria to its target client base in Bedford as well as develop a strategy to generate leads and retain existing clients.
Our approach:
We quickly identified that Cambria was lacking any form of marketing strategy and indeed core elements including a vision, mission statement, key messages and a positioning statement.
Before we embarked on any external facing activity, we developed a comprehensive strategy based on insights gleaned from a SWOT analysis, competitor analysis and our knowledge of the target audience.
Once we had this, we were able to develop a tactical plan based on the PESO model, ensuring that activity across the chosen comms channels would be consistent and results driven.
Over the past year, we have delivered PR activity that has directly generated new leads for Cambria. Our work includes:
- Organic social media management to ensure clear and consistent communication
- A series of virtual events, focused on different areas of Cambria’s business, that generate leads and get Cambria in front of potential clients
- Media relations activity which has seen Cambria featured in Metro online, The Telegraph, The Mortgage Broker online and the Bedford Independent. Not only does this give Cambria amazing exposure, it also enhances reputation for existing and potential clients as well as delivering SEO value.
- Monthly e-newsletters
- Marketing communications including flyers and posters promoting in person events and offers
The Results:
We’ll let Cambria speak for us on this!
Our work has directly benefited Cambria in terms of new business. PR has served to bring in new leads which have converted to clients.
What’s more, Cambria now has a consistent tone of voice along with regular, on message communications across a range of channels.]
“I approached Announce after seeing the work they had done for other clients locally. Our "message" to our customers was confused, irregular and not always looking the same!
Quickly, Lindsay and Felicity came up with a plan of action of how to make sure we have one voice, working to one vision. During 2021, they have methodically worked through this process to the point where we are now generating new leads and business as a direct consequence of their work. Would recommend highly.
